Today a team of HFD members traveled to the campus of Ramapo College to participate in the annual Northwest Bergen Mutual Aid Association Field Day competition, this year hosted by the Mahwah Fire Dept.  This annual event sees fire & rescue departments from Northwest Bergen competing against one another in a day of friendly competition and fun.

The events test the skills and teamwork of the firefighters involved and this year included a search & rescue evolution, a hose advance event followed by a more fun "barrel push" event.   Team HFD, which consisted of Asst. Chief Tucker Daly, firefighters Brian Dench, Jason Ludwig, James Rorty and Dave Biswurm, took first place in the barrel event.

Congratulations go to the Oakland FD on capturing the Best Overall trophy for the third year in a row and many thanks to the Mahwah FD for putting together a fun and challenging event.
