A 3-car MVA shut down the southbound lanes of Route 17 south of Sheridan Avenue around 2:30 pm this afternoon.  HFD was initially dispatched on the report of an entrapment but first arriving officers confirmed all parties where out of their vehicles.  Crews from Engines 731 and 733 de-energized the vehicles and applied absorbent to the spilled fluids.  The highway was re-opened after about 30 minutes.
