Following April, one of the quietest months in recent memory with only four calls during the entire period, May is off to a busy start with 10 calls in 10 days. Three of those runs came during the daytime hours today as the department first responded with a FAST Team to Wyckoff for a structure fire on Drury Lane, then to St. Bart's Church on Sheridan Ave for a small mulch fire and finally to Cafe Amici on Sycamore Ave for a reported fire alarm activation that turned out to be a problem with a dishwasher. We'll see what the rest of the month brings!
